not lost, just hidden
“Thank You Jesus, for blessing and restoring all that I thought was lost.” A note that I wrote in my journal last birthday. A moment I felt so blessed by His wonders. All that He has done for me, brought me to that moment of intense gratitude. To all that I thought was lost, it was merely hidden.
Like me, if you think you have wasted your youths; as if you are just passing through life, forgotten what it feels like to be young and free. I hope this passage from Sara Hagerty, Unseen will speak to you in your lostness and see God glorified in you.
“Perhaps God is saving it for your finding.”
In your early years, (like parents to their child) every minute of your life has been witnessed and recorded (in films). Noticed. Treasured and loved by God.
You may need healing, grieve and walk honestly through losses. You may have chosen the need to live into a different story than the one God wants for you. Yet, He stayed. He grieved with you, celebrates the time you allowed yourself to be embraced, sharing tears with others. Although the veil fell thick in your childhood, it was witnessed by God. You are known.
You will heal and come to life as you see yourself in God’s story.
*Abstract and paraphrase by Crystal.
As I submerged myself in those words, I saw how DaddyGod hovered over my life all these years. When I was wild and seemingly free; dancing til dawn, getting high all the time. In my solitude over broken hearts, I cried and blamed the harsh reality of life. I thought I would not be happy. Yet now, I am restored, recovered, and reinstated my position in Christ. Rooted, centered in His presence; drunk by the Holy Spirit.
The journey with God is in our findings. When we pick up our curiosity and dive into a sea of questions, creatively trying to investigate the cases. That’s where God shows up. You’ll see Him in His nature; a fresh wind and an ocean full of life.
It is in this intimate encounter with God, integrating into your own story with His greatness. Oh gosh, there is so much more for you; in the hidden.
You even formed every bone in my body
when you created me in the secret place;
carefully, skillfully you shaped me from nothing to something.
You saw who you created me to be before I became me!Before I’d ever seen the light of day,
the number of days you planned for me
were already recorded in your book.Every single moment you are thinking of me!
How precious and wonderful to consider
that you cherish me constantly in your every thought!Psalms 139:15-18 TPT
Part 2 | People come and go.
Community is an extension of your heart, mind, and soul. The past two years have gone too soon, some of us ease well into the slowness, but many missed our steps. It became harder to reconnect intimately.
During this time, I’ve also lost some friendships, yet I saw how God used that separation to reposition me, ready to make new friends. Especially those who deposited Christ-centered love, wisdom, and accountability in my life. I borrowed faith from people that pursue God, speak joy and reaffirm my passion for Christ.
The loss of some friendships was imperative to gain new ones. My obedience to take a stand for Christ resulted in an expansion of territory in my relationships with others too. There’s goodness in my soul. I am energized by friends walking alongside. We pray, and we manifest the wonders of our working God. There is so much life sprouting from this table of love.
So, find your step, and don’t be afraid to try out new friendships that could stir you heavenwards. Make wiser choices at coffee, choose your people wisely.
