creating from abundance

ː 3 MINUTES READ

It’s getting warm here in Singapore, the tropical island she is. There was rapid rain too, and the person really complaining is my husband who gets annoyed when the rain hits on the mornings he planned for the trails. Otherwise, a pint in this heat is really what helped us through.

Summer for me used to be this hot fiery vibe at the beach kind of life. I missed myself, being the beach babe, sipping a mojito all day. Now? I guess protecting myself from the rays becomes the priority if I want to age gracefully.

Right now, I am in my bedroom office. Writing with a fan blowing warm air to my face and a hot cup of coffee next to me. I am strongly considering working remotely one day, which is another dream on the list but this one needs my husband’s approval.

I can finally take a breather, and soak into the success of how far we’ve arrived.

Nonetheless, summer is a time to chill and be at the pool, watching the sun hit the ocean. Relating this back to slowlivecreate, I feel that it is a season I can finally take a breather, and soak into the success of how far we’ve arrived. It’s a season to celebrate the blooms, the vibrancies of the seeds sown. Every fruit will now bear more fruits.

Though like in all weathers, we may face a difficult storm. Remember that God renews His grace in every situation we face! Because of the Lord’s great love, we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for Him.” Lamentations 3:22-24

IN COLLABORATION WITH @flower_administ

Dimas was a business partner with whom I worked briefly within my formal work in the fashion scene. Those days, we were going head to head between emails and calls, beating all differences to agree on a midpoint. That’s how most businesses were. We want a fair share of all the deals and efforts included. Amazing how God reconnects us. I’ve learned how floristry arrangements helped him both spiritually and mentally over the year when the world came to a standstill. Similarly, we were both seeking God’s nature to unveil the truth about this sense of slowness with great confidence. Our collaboration is an increase in our faith as God works the unseen for us.

Here’s what Dimas says about his summer:

“These are the things of summer to me.  When everything comes to the fullest, it’s time to rest, relax and enjoy nature. To see wildflowers grow to their fullest in the meadow. This is the moment we can give thanks to the Lord for every abundance in life.”

For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, And His truth endures to all generations.

PSALM 100:5 NKJV

All in all, this experience was so spirit-led. From a text, “Let’s collaborate” to a video call miles away and just a month ago, we met physically here in Singapore! The entire project was really swift. We launched this collab a week earlier than proposed. What a joy to create in God’s anointing in this Kingdom of possibilities. We hope to continue creating beautiful blooms from heaven to earth that inspires you as we take our chances, especially when all else seems impossible to slow down, yet we did.
