Prelude: uncharted or unchartered
ː3 MINUTES READ
“Uncharted Dreams” came up to me while I was asking God for a theme. Meditating on Psalm 37:4,“Delight yourself also in the lord, and he shall give you the desires of your heart.”
In these past years, I have discovered more of myself and found myself dreaming new dreams; trying and going new places too. SLC was never even in my mind when I was a child. It did not have a purpose until God became part of it. Delighting in God, meant he also delights in me. He made me in his perfect image and he has his perfect plans.
That first night as I press record and begin to paint the first florals for calendar 2023, my mind was filled with joy and assurance that DaddyGod had it all together for me (and you).
Uncharted: from Merrium Webster
“The adjective uncharted describes something that is not recorded or plotted on a map, chart, or plan. Uncharted waters are those parts of the ocean that have never been mapped, or in some cases never explored at all, which can be hazardous for sailors to navigate.”
Let's take a close look around us instead of dreaming too far into the oceans. I fear that this might be the worry of most of us. To begin dreaming seems harder than before. It feels too much of a fantasy. Into the waters is like asking, how do I get on the water? Can I afford a yacht? How do I even know how to sail a boat? What if a storm hits hard? How do I navigate myself in the ocean?

Looking back on these two years of pursuit, I realize how ordinary my dreams were. It's usually simpler than we think. Most importantly, small steps are taken to propel forward. I would not have gotten here if there was no work if I did not strike off one to-do, one day at a time.
Dreams today are so overrated on social media, making it impossible to pursue a dream or much less to think that it is as easy as snap, post, and repeat. Living this dream life is hard work. It is constantly trying to show up and not looking like we had it all together.
My dad, was my hero. He had to carry 2-3 jobs to bring both my sister and me to school. Not to mention, how our working mom juggles between being fierce-some at work and a gentle parent at home. Sadly, my mom was the first to fall out of this seemingly perfect family bond. My heart still breaks to understand she was not happy in her day in and day out, she complains about how much she has missed out since she became a mother.
That’s her broken dream. She probably was looking outside the windows and couldn’t see the joy within to appreciate what she had. I do regret thinking if only she could see who we can be together today. Yet, the truth, is we have all moved on without her in it.
A godmother is someone who will be by your side, not necessarily on it because you could be wrong. But she will be by your side pointing you to growth and blessing what is in your life from your own hard lessons.

Godmothers
My days without her became a blur and I am grateful it did not restrict me to grow. I was still able to seek mummy’s comfort from my grandma and from many godmother’s friendships whom I met alongside. They were the most ordinary people in my life, yet they played extraordinary roles for me.
Many of us, started a dream journey to provide solutions for the people that matters. Not all dream is about becoming famous. A lot of intentions in our everyday ordinary can become a dream. It may be a new sport to try or a place you want to be. Or better, to be a parent or a friend to someone dear. These are ordinary possibilities that you can work towards.
SLC is propelled from a heart for women, especially busy women. I am still figuring my ways around an onion peeling layer after layer until it gets to the core of what is God doing in my life.
The uncharted dream is indeed the springboard of what 2023 is going to be.
I pray that you’ll discover who you are and anticipate whom you are becoming. May God’s perfect love be so evident that you fear not the understanding of man. As you abide in His words, your true self will reveal DaddyGod’s grand plan for you in this life. May you have increase faith to speak into the life that you desire to have because He is listening and He will grant you the desires of your heart and make all your plans succeed. \ Psalm 20
Dreams is for ordinary people. You can start living in it by acting on it. Look within what you can do, and set yourself achievable goals. Write it down, and set reminders to try something new. One day at a time. Do it now, or do it later.
